Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
Whats is a CPL?
Once a Commercial Pilot Licence is achieved, the holder can now work and be paid as a pilot. Career pathways may include flying charter operations, conducting further training to become a flight instructor, or work towards multi engine and instrument training for pathways leading to airline operations.
This training course will polish off the theoretical and practical skills learnt in the RPL and PPL module, increasing the pilot’s professionalism and capabilities.
How long will the training take?
Training at Major Blue Air can be done at your own pace, allowing flexibility around your schedule. Once completing the PPL module, and depending on students work load capacity and resources, a student may take as little as 4 months to complete the CPL module.
What does the training course consist of?
Training for the Commercial Pilot Licence consists of both theory and practical learning events. This competency based course is designed to meet and exceed CASA requirements.
Students have the option of self-studying the theory section with the aid of text books, or Major Blue Air can provide an instructor to assist with getting you prepared for the seven CPL exams. For the flight training, our experienced instructors will utilise our modern facilities and new aircraft fleet to effectively teach and develop the skills required to be a safe and confident commercial pilot.
